Around 15 windows of the C-listed building in Church Street were smashed on Wednesday morning. It is understood two of the youths were aged 15 and the other was 16. The building is owned by Fife Council and is being marketed for sale by Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, for a price of £70,000. According to Shepherd’s website it is under offer. The council said it is aware of the damage and arrangements will be made to make the building secure. The town’s library is now located at the civic centre in Queen Street.
