About 2.30pm an elderly woman was home alone when a man called at her door. Police said he tried to con his way inside by claiming to have injured himself and said he needed to use her bathroom. The woman was suspicious so she closed the door and called an ambulance for the man. The man did not stick around after that. He ran off down the driveway and was seen getting into a small white van with a woman. He is described as being of stout build, with fair curly hair, and he was wearing beige shorts. He spoke with an Irish accent. Anyone who saw the couple in the area, or knows of their whereabouts, should get in touch with the police on 101.
