Dundee are poised to hand former Scotland midfielder Stephen Pearson a passage from India. The former Celtic and Motherwell man has been playing for Kerala Blasters in the newly-formed Indian Super League. Pearson (32) has been one of the stars of that competition, scoring the winner to get Kerala to the final. He featured again as they lost to Atltico de Kolkata in the trophy game just five days before Christmas, which means he is match-fit. Pearson is understood to be the player Dens boss Paul Hartley has had signing talks with over the past few days. He is set to be fixed up on a contract, probably running to the end of the season, when the transfer window opens on Thursday. It is not clear yet if international clearance will be obtained in time for him to face Dundee United at Tannadice but it looks a possibility.
