Dundee Stars player-coach Jeff Hutchins is determined to lead the squad into the end-of-season play-offs for a second straight year.
And last weekend’s shootout win double at Edinburgh Capitals and at home to reigning champions Belfast Giants has been, said Hutchins, a massive boost.
Hutchins said: “I’m unhappy that we allowed Edinburgh a point at Murrayfield on Saturday. We controlled the play.
“We switched off and were punished and we switched off against Belfast for one shift and they levelled but in the last two games we were close to being ourselves.
“I was so proud of the boys.
“Now we’re not far behind the rest and we feel we can get the wins we need to get back in the pack.”
