Police in Glenrothes have appealed for information after a woman was assaulted on Monday evening.
She was attacked in the Cadham area just before 10pm, according to Fife Constabulary.
Officers say it took place behind Cadham shops, between Pitcoudie Avenue and Gilvenbank Park.
Police are keen to speak to a man they describe as unshaven, with short dark hair and a heavy build.
It is thought he is aged 30-40 and around 6ft. He was wearing a khaki hoodie and trousers and carried a white plastic bag.
Detective Sergeant Stewart Andrew said: ”We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area near this time who may have seen the woman or the man to contact us.”
