Mr Vigrow, who retired in 1996, taught at Morgan for 30 years. An Aberdonian, he worked as a printer for seven years before doing his national service with the parachute regiment. Once back from the army, he went to evening classes and completed a masters degree in geography before doing a year of teacher training. In 1966 he started at working at Morgan and was promoted to principal teacher of guidance in 1970. His love of skiing and walking saw him take many school groups on trips to the Cairngorms. Following his retiral he was able to indulge in his passion of travelling. His funeral service will be held at Barham Crematorium, Canterbury, on Tuesday, and his ashes will be scattered on Auchterhouse Hill at a later date.
