The Courier’s referendum roadshow moved to Forfar and Kirriemuir. Our battle bus pulled up in Forfar High Street where bakery shop Saddler’s kindly delivered a batch of bridies for our voters. Raymond Gerrard from Forfar said he was voting Yes because he wants Scotland to have more power. “It’s not a vote for the SNP but a vote for Scotland’s future,” he said. Yvonne Gentles voted Yes in our poll but said she may still be swayed. Simon Urquart said he is voting No because he thinks Alex Salmond has a “giant ego” and a “chip on his shoulder about Westminster.” Our Forfar poll of 66 people saw 68% vote no. In Kirriemuir, 27 of the 47, or 57%, people polled said no.
