There was a heavy police presence in Arbroath on Thursday night to deal with an incident in the Dishlandtown Street/Colville Place area of the town. Officers, some of them armed, were called to the scene around 9pm after it was reported a man had been seen with a knife. The incident was near a railway bridge over the main east coast railway line, with the line closed for some time and trains delayed.
