VIDEO: Mountain bikers serve up thrills and spills at Scottish Downhill Series and Championships

The rugged Perthshire countryside provided a testing challenge to some of the country’s finest mountain bikers at the weekend.

The second stage of the 2014 Scottish Downhill Series and Championships brought competitors to the steep and wooded landscape around Dunkeld.

Nine categories of racing were on offer to an appreciative and large audience of spectators, ensuring that the challenge could be accepted by riders of all ages and abilities.

The event now moves on to the mountain biking trails of the Ae Forest in Dumfries and Galloway, on May 17 and 18.
