Alliance Trust’s Dundee operation will remain ‘as is’ if Scotland votes for independence
ByThe Courier Reporter
The chairman of the Alliance Trust says Dundee jobs will not be under threat if Scotland becomes independent.
The group has moved to incorporate new companies in England as a result of uncertainty over the September 18 referendum but chairman Karin Forseke, who stressed the trust would remain politically neutral on the issue, said the move was about ensuring Alliance Trust customers on both sides of the border were unaffected if a Yes vote was returned.
Asked if jobs in Dundee could be lost if Scotland became independent, Ms Forseke said the board did not see it as an issue.
“Our operation in Dundee will remain as is. This is about additional support in London.”
