Investigation continues into newborn baby’s death at Ninewells Hospital

The death of a newborn baby in Ninewells Hospital in Dundee is still being investigated six weeks after the tragedy.

A consultant was suspended following the incident on March 16, and the police were called in to carry out inquiries.

NHS Tayside also examined the circumstances and the consultant, whose identity has not been revealed, was suspended.

Police said later there were no apparent suspicious circumstances.
