Police appeal over serious assault in Dunfermline nightclub

A man was treated in hospital for severe injuries after being attacked in a Dunfermline nightclub.
The 35-year-old was assaulted near the dancefloor of Lourenzos on St Margaret Street at around 2am on Sunday morning.
He suffered injuries to his head and mouth and was being treated at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.
Police in Fife have appealed for witnesses.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Findlay said: “This has been a serious assault, which left the victim with some painful injuries.
“The club is known to have been very busy at the time of the attack so any patrons who were within and saw anything suspicious are asked to contact police immediately.”
