Technip has secured a contract for the extension of subsea infrastructure on the Alvheim field in the North Sea.
The contractor said the Marathon oil Norge project, which involves the tie-in of spools and the installation of a manifold, would be completed in the first half of 2016.
The subsea operations will mainly be performed with divers at a water-depth of approximately 120 metres.
Odd Strmsnes, managing director at Technip in Norway, said: “This project will be the second one awarded to Technip for the extension of the existing infrastructure on the Alvheim field, the first one having been executed in 2012 and 2013.
