St Johnstone fans have now broken the 15,000 barrier for Saturday’s Scottish Cup final.
The travelling support at Celtic Park will be the largest the Perth side has ever taken to a match outside of Perth, and manager Tommy Wright is thrilled with the backing his team will get.
He said: “I said at the start of the sales process that it would be great if we could take 15,000 and people thought I was being over-optimistic but the response has been fantastic and it will make it a very special day.
“I know we’ll still be out-numbered but I’m sure we won’t be out-sung and I’m aware that a group of fans have gone to great lengths to help organise a card display and synchronised vocal backing and that is just terrific.”
