A car has burst into flames on a busy dual carriageway in Angus.
Emergency services were alerted to the red Ford Fiesta ablaze on the southbound carriageway of the A90 near Parkford in Angus at 11.20am on Wednesday.
A fire appliance from Forfar attended and extinguished the fire using one hosereel. The fire caused one lane of the southbound carriageway to be closed.
A spokesperson for Tayside Police said: “We received the call at 11.20am saying that the car was on fire at the side of the A90 between Parkford and Finavon.
“It led to a lane of the southbound carriageway being closed due to the vehicle causing a hazard.”
