A rededication service was held at the Orwell War Memorial in Milnathort at the weekend a year after it was vandalised. Representatives of the army, navy, RAF, air cadets, Guides and Scouts attended the service, which was led by the Rev Duncan Stenhouse. Last July vandals desecrated the war memorial, just after a £13,000 restoration. The Orwell/Milnathort War Memorial project cost nearly £54,000, with funding coming from organisations including Perth and Kinross Council, Kinross-shire fund, the Arthur and Margaret Thomson Fund, War Memorials Trust, Community Environment Challenge Fund and Milnathort in Bloom.
