Millers’ interest in St Johnstone striker May wane
ByIan Roache
A signing made by Rotherham United looks like being good news for St Johnstone fans.
The Millers have been long-time admirers of Saints striker Stevie May but they have just paid what they claim is a club record fee for Aston Villa frontman Jordan Bowery.
That should signal the end of the English Championship side’s interest in May, who has stated that he is happy to remain in Perth with the Scottish Cup winners.
Rotherham boss Steve Evans said: “We are delighted to sign Jordan and have been very patient on this deal.
“We are just delighted to have gotten the deal over the line and have young Jordan come on board.”
