A commemorative event marking the centenary of the Great War came to a close in Dundee’s City Square at the weekend.
The BBC’s World War One At Home event took place over Friday and Saturday with performances, talks, live stage shows in the Marryat Hall as well as a range of stalls and exhibitions.
Crowds also turned out to learn more about their family history, talk about their family war stories and take part in a number of interactive events to remember the First World War.
On Saturday afternoon bell ringing at the Old Steeple was followed by a poignant commemorative Drumhead service which saw veterans parade in the city square, attended by Lord Provost Bob Duncan.
A number of groups and organisations were also involved in the event including the DC Thomson Archives, Dundee Heritage Trust, Abertay Historical Society, The Black Watch Castle and Museum and the Unicorn Preservation Society.
The Great War Dundee Partnership aims to co-ordinate a city-wide approach to the centenary commemoration of the First World War in Dundee.
