A Glasgow man who sexually assaulted a young woman during last year’s T in the Park music festival has been placed on the sex offenders register.
Alexander Wynn, 26, of the city’s Lunderston Drive, was in the campsite at the event’s former home at Balado on July 13 2013 when the offence took place.
He denied all charges against him but was found guilty of two counts of assault following a trial at Perth Sheriff Court.
Wynn was found guilty of sexually assaulting the woman in the campsite area and of physically assaulting the same woman.
He punched and kicked her on the body until she fell over.
Sheriff Fiona Tait made Wynn subject to a community payback order and ordered him to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work.
Wynn was one of 20 people who initially appeared at the sheriff court on Monday July 15 2013 to face charges related to incidents at the festival.
Their crimes ranged from sexual assault to a variety of drugs offences.
