Convalescing cops have to make way for Ryder Cup media centre
ByDave Lord
Injured police officers will have to vacate their convalescent home as a TV company uses it as their Ryder Cup HQ.
Sky TV have agreed a deal to rent the property for just over a week during the September tournament.
The television company will take over the whole of the Castlebrae specialist convalescent home near the Gleneagles golf course and it is being closed to police officers in need of rehabilitative treatment.
It is understood that officers needing to use the facility will instead be offered alternative accommodation 250 miles away at another treatment centre in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Sky TV is dedicating an entire channel to the Ryder Cup.
