Dundee man ‘could have killed’ brother with head kicks

A Dundee man who repeatedly kicked his brother in the head following a family dispute was told by a sheriff that the attack could have killed him.
A court was told that Stewart Fraser knocked his brother William to the ground outside their mother’s house in Dundee’s west end.
Ross Donnelly, defending, said: “Since then, family matters have been discussed and resolved.
“Peace appears to have broken out. His behaviour was to some extent provoked by his brother. What followed was a complete loss of control on Mr Fraser’s part.”
Fraser, 44, of Kirk Street, admitted assaulting William Fraser in Tullideph Road on April 7 by punching him on the head, whereby he fell to the ground, and repeatedly kicking him on the head to his injury.
Sheriff Kenneth Hogg told Fraser: “I see you have in the past graced the inside of a prison and I was minded to do the same thing again today. This was your own brother and you could have killed him.”
The sheriff fined Fraser £300 over the incident.
