A unique world record has been set by Tesco staff in Dundee after they bounced for more than 48 hours.
Eight colleagues from Tesco’s learning and development team in the city’s customer service centre on Baird Avenue bounced in relay for more than 50 hours, smashing the previous record of just over 37 hours.
The event also looks set to raise more than £2,000 for Diabetes UK, which is Tesco’s chosen charity for the year.
Kevin Kelly, one of the bouncers and the organiser of the event, praised the contribution of everyone who took part.
He said: “It was a great weekend. Midway through the second night we hit the wall, after two and a half days on only three or four hours sleep we were really starting to feel it.
“We all pulled together though, we were running on smiles and cheering each other on to get through the pain barrier.
“Luckily, some of us have the bank holiday off to recover, but unfortunately a couple of us did have to go in to work today.”
