Brechin boss Ray McKinnon admits he is hoping for big things from on-loan Aberdeen youngster Jamie Masson.
The 21-year-old midfielder is in the City squad as they resume League One action at Stirling Albion.
While many sides have been idle over the international break, Brechin have played twice, against Forfar in the Forfarshire Cup and on Wednesday in a testimonial match against Brechin Vics.
Before the break, Brechin had drawn their previous two league games but McKinnon insists he will send his players out at Forthbank with the target of three points firmly in their sights.
He said: “It was good for the lads to get a run-out in the testimonial match. We are nearly at full strength, with only Alan Trouten a doubt for the Stirling game.
“He has been out for three weeks with his groin problem and I do not think we will risk him.
“However, we will have Jamie Masson from Aberdeen in the squad for the first time in a league match. He has really impressed me and I am looking forward to seeing what he can do for us.
“We have had Stirling watched and have received good reports on them. I have said it before but I honestly believe there is very little between the sides in this division.”
Stirling Albion hope to have former St Johnstone, Arbroath and Dundee striker Steven Doris back from injury as they look for their first home win of the campaign.
Doris injured a shoulder on the league’s opening day up at Peterhead.
