Dundee man made ‘creepy’ remarks to girl on street
ByAlan Wilson
A man followed a teenage girl into a flat uninvited after asking her questions of a sexual nature.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard that Christopher Doig, 38, of Balgarthno Terrace, approached the girl as she waited to meet her boyfriend in the city on June 1.
Fiscal depute Laura Bruce said: “The accused crossed the road and engaged her in conversation and asked how old she was.
“She said 16 and he said she looked more like 18. She described him as acting in a creepy manner.
“He asked her, ‘Do you enjoy sex? Boys like sex and girls like sex’.”
He then asked the girl if she wanted to come to his house, and she told him she was going to her boyfriend’s, before walking to her boyfriend’s brother’s house which was nearby.
Doig followed her into the house but left when asked.
He admitted committing a breach of the peace by conducting himself in a disorderly manner, approaching the girl, making comments of an unwanted sexual nature, following her and entering a property uninvited.
Sentence was deferred to October 16.
