Tayside’s biggest jobs fair will take place in Dundee on Thursday.
More than 300 young people are expected to attend the event in the Caird Hall, as will 60 organisations with 100 job vacancies.
It is designed to help anyone looking for work, thinking about getting new skills and training, or interested in finding out about starting their own business.
Dundee City Council’s city development committee deputy convener Bill Campbell said: “This free event will let people meet employers including Police Scotland, DriverHire Dundee, Apex Hotels, Grosvenor G Casino, McGill, National Express, Tayside Contracts, Gowrie Care, the armed forces and many more who have vacancies to fill right now.
“Young people who are coming along will attend presentations to hear about developments in the waterfront, what that means for jobs and their future and how to motivate themselves and make the most of their opportunities.”
The fair will also give school pupils the chance to hear a real life success story from Adam Newth, head chef from Castlehill Restaurant, who is already making a name for himself on the Scottish food scene.
The event will take place from noon to 5pm and is free.
