Raith Rovers manager Grant Murray admits his players can take confidence from the fact that Easter Road has been a happy hunting ground.
Rovers take on Hibs at a venue where they claimed last season’s memorable Ramsdens Cup final victory over Rangers.
Murray’s side also put Hibs to the sword in Leith in the Scottish Cup last term.
But with Alan Stubbs’ side catapulting themselves back into Championship promotion contention with a stunning 3-1 win at Rangers on Monday, Murray knows a third successive victory in the east of Edinburgh will not come easy.
He said: “It’s a totally different game but there is still a good core of the squad that went to Easter Road and won those two games, it should give them that wee boost.
“It will not have any affect on the result on Saturday that’s for sure, but you want to be as confident as you can and a lot of these guys will go there knowing they have been to that venue and performed.
“They can be intimidating places. But we know from going to Easter Road in the Scottish Cup last season and scoring first that it gave our players a lift, you want to start the game well.
“You want to use everything, you want to frustrate Hibs. They will have a big home support and it’s a great stadium to play in, that’s for sure.”
Murray, however, expects Hibs to be buoyed by a victory at Ibrox that moved the Easter Road side to within four points of third place Rovers.
He added: “Any team that goes to Ibrox and goes three-nil up are a very good side. I was there and Hibs played very well on the night, they will be brimming with confidence for Saturday now.
“Hibs are probably a side that’s adjusting to the Championship, they’ve had some right good results.
“They were second bottom before Monday and the win lifts them right up.
“They will be looking to push on and be there. They expect to be up there and I think Monday’s result shows how good a side they are.
“Teams sometimes need a result like that to kick on. Lets be honest, they’re a Premiership team in the Championship. We have to wary of them.”
