Roadworks costing nearly £600,000 will begin on a busy Perthshire route this weekend.
A stretch of the A90 between the Glendoick and Inchmichael interchanges will be upgraded as part of the resurfacing operation.
The work, which starts on Sunday, will be carried out overnight to minimise disruption. It is expected to last for 10 nights and will involve repairs to the northbound carriageway and renewal of markings.
A 10mph limit will be imposed along the route between 7.30pm and 6.30am each day and a convoy system will operate.
Andy Thompson, from trunk road authority Bear Scotland, said: “These works will repair a number of cracks, potholes and other defects and will improve the general condition of the road for motorists.”
He added: “In an attempt to minimise delays as much as possible for road users, we have scheduled works to be carried out overnight.
“We still encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time.”
Mr Thompson added that all material removed from the road during the upgrade work will be recycled.
The £560,000 project will be carried out by Breedon Aggregates and Euromark.
