The Scottish SPCA’s Angus centre is appealing to experienced reptile enthusiasts to consider giving a home to an unusual resident in their care.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity is hoping to find the perfect new owner for a Chinese water dragon called Ping-Pong, pictured.
Centre manager Lesley Clark said: “Poor Ping-Pong has been with us for 65 days now.
“When Ping-Pong first arrived he was a bit poorly as he wasn’t being kept in the correct set-up which resulted in him becoming undernourished.
“Since then we have provided him with the correct environment and he is coming on well.
“He hadn’t been eating properly, but has now started to put on weight.”
Chinese water dragons can grow up to 3ft, so any potential owners will need to have a substantial sized vivarium for him with both basking and wet areas.
Anyone who can offer Ping-Pong a new home can contact the Scottish SPCA’s animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
