A “pair of toerags who would cause a riot in an empty hoose” have visited Dundee.
Comedy act the Dolls, made up of Louise McCarthy and Gayle Telfer Stevens or their alter egos Sadie and Agnes have taken Scotland by storm with their take on the lives of a pair of old-fashioned cleaners.
Pushing the boundaries wherever possible with a magic handbag, an auld story and hilarious banter, Sadie and Agnes like nothing more than to propel you back to the “good auld days” with a sing-song.
They tell stories of days gone by with a few conquests popped in for good measure and putting men in their place.
Fresh from sell-out shows and getting plenty hits online, the Dolls are bringing their show to Dundee and nipped up to the city yesterday to film a video ahead of their visit to Liquid on November 13.
Gayle said: “People like to see their home towns so we did some shots with Desperate Dan and the Caird Hall, just places that people would recognise.”
Gayle and Louise are no strangers to showbiz, having worked extensively in London’s West End, film and TV.
