St Andrews chef Jamie Scott is through to the final of this year’s Masterchef: The Professionals.
The 27-year-old chef beat Richard Gynn in a head-to-head battle for a spot in the final of this year’s competition.
Both chefs were sent to Mayfair’s Connaught Hotel to work in the two-Michelin-starred kitchen of French chef Helene Darroze.
They then returned to the studio to prepare a dish for programme hosts and judges Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti.
Jamie, who has worked at Rocca Restaurant in St Andrews for over three years and lives in Abroath, thanked supporters on Twitter last night.
Thank you everyone for your kind words off encouragement it's an overwhelming feeling! #masterchefprofessionals #finalsweek

He also received praise from his vanquished opponent.

Jamie is the third chef with connections to St Andrews to enjoy success in Masterchef: The Professionals in the past two years.
Last year Scott Davies, a chef at The Adamson in St Andrews, and Adam Handling, who worked at The Fairmont, both reached the final of the prestigious competition.
Adam also had praise for Jamie’s food last night.
