A man in his 80s has died after a fire at his flat in Dundee’s Adamson Court on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the block of flats shortly after 5.30am. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
One person was taken to Ninewells Hospital with smoke inhalation, while one person was treated by ambulance staff at the scene for slight smoke inhalation.
The Lochee bypass was closed to all traffic while emergency services worked at the scene, and eastbound traffic was diverted.
The bypass was re-opened at 8am.
A joint police and fire investigation is under way.
