Angus College students feel the sting for two good causes

Five brave Angus College students plus one lecturer have raised over £700 by having their legs waxed for two causes.

Fabrication and welding students Mike Rennie, Steve Sterricks, Robert Blues, David Frith and John Anderson were joined by lecturer Hugh Plenderleath as budding beauty therapist Natalia Sadowska ensured they had a smooth start to 2011.

The proceeds go the Everyman Charity for prostate cancer and Mike Buggies, the brainchild of volunteer Mike Rennie.

Mike uses the skills he has learned at college to help young people design and build off-road buggies as a way of preventing them from getting involved in alcohol or drugs.
