A lorry driver has been charged with driving on a busy dual carriageway while watching football on his laptop.
The driver was allegedly driving with the laptop perched on the steering wheel and was spotted by a passing driver on the A90 Forfar to Dundee road.
The police were contacted and officers stopped the lorry on the southbound carriageway in Dundee.
Chief Inspector Kathy MacDonald said: ”A member of the public alerted us shortly after 5pm. He was concerned as it was approaching darkness and in wet conditions during last night’s rush hour.”
She confirmed the lorry driver had been cautioned and charged with various road traffic offences.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
