An Orange march in Forfar passed by without incident on Sunday.
Those members of the public who stood in the rain to watch and hear the Blue’s and Royals Flute Band appeared to be neutral or bemused in their response to the spectacle.
It was organised by Loyal Orange Lodge 118 of Dundee to mark the 450th anniversary of the Reformation, which actually falls in November.
The route went through streets including South Street and West High Street, pausing at The Cross.
The parade had been opposed by some members of Angus Council’s civic licensing committee and Tayside Police but, after the organisers agreed to vary their route and councillors were advised that there was no legal basis for a ban, the march proceeded.
