Elderly man dies at Angus recycling centre

An elderly man died suddenly at an Angus recycling centre on Thursday.

The 86-year-old man is understood to have collapsed at the Carnoustie centre in the early afternoon.

Emergency services were called but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name has not been released but it is believed next of kin have been informed.

As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
