Police are trying to track down armed robbers who set upon the occupants of a car in Ballingry.
Two men and two women were in a blue Volkswagen Golf when they were targeted by three men at around 11pm on Tuesday.
The incident happened in Navitie Park.
It is understood the assailants had weapons, however, Fife Constabulary did not release any further details. Information about the items taken was not released.
Police are looking for three men thought to be aged between 35 and 40.
One of the men was described as being 6ft 3in and of thin build with a large nose. At the time he was wearing a black hat, jacket and jeans.
The second man was described as between 5ft 5in and 5ft 6in, of stocky build and wearing a dark hooded tracksuit top with writing on the front.
