Homes and businesses in the Bearsden and Maryhill areas of Glasgow have been affected after the burst occurred at around 5am today. The incident has caused some localised flooding and the site of the burst, on Maryhill Road, near its junction with Coronation Way, has been closed. Scottish Water said it was too early to say if the properties affected were without water entirely. Some could be suffering from low water pressure, or discoloured water, while others may be without a supply at all. Engineers are working to restore normal water supplies as soon as possible.
