A man found wandering the streets of Montrose over two weeks ago is at the centre of an Angus mystery.
Police said the man was found at around 3am on Friday, August 29, with no memory of his name or where he is from.
Officers today issued an appeal to the public for help.
The man is described as elderly, with shoulder-length grey hair and a long beard.
He speaks with a West Midlands accent.
He is being cared for in hospital in the Tayside area.
A police spokeswoman said: “Despite extensive inquiries the man’s identity remains unknown and officers are appealing to anyone who may have information about him to come forward.
“Anyone who may know the man’s identity or have seen him in the area is encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
