A former general manager of St Andrews University Students’ Association has died.
Campbell Boyle (66) suffered a sudden heart attack in his Anstruther home. Mr Boyle worked at the association until his retiral in 2008, where he offered guidance and financial advice to students.
Born in Greenock in 1944, Mr Boyle moved with his family to Zambia age five.
He also lived in Zimbabwe and Kenya, working as an accountant, before returning to Scotland at the age of 40 with Irish wife Adrienne, who he met in Zambia and married in 1978, and son Steven.
During the 1980s he began working as an accountant for Sealink and the family lived in Stranraer.
They moved to Crail in the 1990s when Mr Boyle took up his post with the student association, before moving to Anstruther.
Mr Boyle is survived by his wife, son and granddaughter Kiera.
