A man has been charged with breach of the peace after an alleged incident at a Dundee nightclub at the weekend. The Black Orchid in St Andrews Street had been hosting a Distored Euphoria event featuring dance music and DJs. According to clubgoers who posted messages on social media sites fighting broke out at the venue. A police spokeswoman said: “Tayside Division attended at St Andrews Street, Dundee, after reports of a disturbance at 1.10am on Sunday morning. “A 19-year-old man was charged with breach of the peace and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.” The event had been due to end at 2.30am, but it is understood nightclub staff chose to close around one hour early.
