Ice hockey: Dundee Stars hope to add to squad in time for Nottingham Panthers clash
ByThe Courier Reporter
Dundee Stars are continuing their global search for a new forward to bolster their injury-hit side.
Director Mike Ward said: “We’re still hopeful of securing a new player by the weekend.”
Stars visit Nottingham Panthers, last season’s Grand Slam champions, on Saturday.
Meanwhile Dundee Tigers aim to put down a marker when they clash with city rivals Dundee Comets on Saturday.
It is Tigers’ final league match at Dundee Ice Arena this season with player-coach Ian Carstairs saying: “We want to close it out on a high.”
“Games against the Comets are always high tempo, physical encounters, but we need to put a couple of good results on the board as we head in to the play-offs.”
