Melvyn Bowers ran the Brownmuir Caravan Park in Fourdon with wife June after taking over the site from his parents. Mr Bowers was born in Essex and worked as a long-distance lorry and tanker driver before moving into the caravan business. After the death of his father, Mr Bowers continued to run the park with his mother until she moved to Glasgow. Since the early 1990s Mr Bowers had run the caravan park with June, who he had known since childhood, and married in 2000. Away from work, Mr Bowers enjoyed shooting, fishing and bowling. He is survived by son Terry and granddaughter Megan. His funeral service is today at Auchenblae Church.
