The makers of a viral video are celebrating as it approaches 8,000 hits on the video-sharing site YouTube.
The 15 S3 pupils at Perth High School created Tartan Farmer Boy with the aim of rising money for Maggie’s.
They have so far raised almost £300 through the Just Giving page on the website and teacher Catherine Black said she hopes everyone who views the video donates just £1.
The enterprise class aims to get a total of 100,000 hits on the video, which was filmed on a Perthshire farm.
The class created the idea, edited and acted in the video, roping in S4 pupil Joseph Hollas for the title role. The video also features animated sheep, cows and chickens.
Pupils at the school have been thinking of various ways to raise money for the charity, including the high school charity dinner at the Huntingtower Hotel which was held on February 28.
The video can be seen on the Perth High School website or via YouTube and money can be donated through the link in the comments or by texting PHFB99 and an amount to 70070.
