Travellers return to Claverhouse industrial estate

Travellers returned to the Claverhouse industrial estate on the northern outskirts of Dundee last night.

Travellers created an unofficial camp on land at Jack Martin Way last year and left behind debris that cost the council a five-figure sum to clear up.

The Claverhouse estate is only a few miles from the council’s official site for at Balmuir Wood.

There were unconfirmed reports that locks on barriers put up to prevent the Travellers’ return had been broken.
