Accident and emergency waiting rooms can be stressful places at the best of times but one in Fife was made all the more traumatic after a man relieved himself in front of horrified onlookers.
The incident is understood to have taken place at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy some time on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland spokesman told The Courier: “I can confirm that on March 11, a 31-year-old male from west Fife entered the accident and emergency waiting room at Victoria Hospital where he began drinking tins of lager while he was waiting to be seen.
“He was asked to stop drinking or leave the premises, however he refused and then stood up and urinated against a wall within the waiting room.
“He was subsequently arrested and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
