Dundee have suffered a big blow ahead of tonight’s clash with Raith Rovers following the news Christian Nade will have to sit out the game.
The French striker had to come off in the 69th minute of the victory over Livingston on Saturday, and Dens boss Paul Hartley confirmed he has not recovered.
Rovers have been struggling in the league in recent weeks, but they picked up three points against Morton on Saturday, their first league win since December 14.
Hartley has warned the Fife side will pose a big threat tonight.
He said: “Raith are still not safe from the play-offs at the bottom of the table so they will be looking to build on their result against Morton.
“But we go into the game with confidence that’s four out of five we have won with four clean sheets as well.
“So we have to make sure we are positive and do the same again basically.”
Hartley praised his players’ performance on Saturday but feels the best is yet to come from the squad.
He said: “I felt we fully deserved our win on Saturday. We looked really comfortable on what was a tricky pitch. I thought we started really well.
“The shape of the team was good and there was a lot of quality on show. So it was a good three points.
“I felt the first 45 minutes against Hamilton was good in terms of how we played but we totally dominated the 90 minutes at Livingston.
“They were disciplined and there was good focus and concentration.”
