Plans to develop a new brewery at the former Drummond Hotel in St Fillans have been approved by the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority.
Arran Brewery’s Loch Earn development will see the creation of a new range of beers, lager and cider from a complex based in outbuildings to the rear of the refurbished premises.
The 32-bedroom hotel is undergoing refurbishment, and is expected to be fully open in time for the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup this year. It will also feature three bars, three restaurants, a coffee shop and banqueting hall.
The company, led by MD Gerald Michaluk, is selling shares to the public as part of efforts to raise around £4 million to support efforts at St Fillans, an upgrade of its base on Arran and ambitions to redevelop a distillery at the former Rosebank site in Falkirk.
