Airdrie v Forfar: Partick Thistle striker joins on loan as Loons’ injuries mount up

Chris Duggan has gone straight into Forfars squad for the trip to Airdrie.

Forfar Athletic have signed Partick Thistle striker Chris Duggan on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old goes straight into the squad for the clash with Airdrie. The Station Park club have, however, been dealt a triple injury blow.

Odmar Faeroe looks to have played his last game of the season, while Gavin Swankie and Ross Campbell are expected to miss the match.

Faeroe only recently recovered from knee surgery but suffered a setback, while Swankie and Campbell have calf and hamstring strains respectively.

Loons manager Dick Campbell said: “Swankie and Campbell are both struggling and I don’t think either will make it.

“Faeroe looks like he’ll be out for the season, which is obviously a real blow.”

The injury situation might not be too healthy for Forfar this weekend, and possibly beyond, but the same cannot be said of their form.

A return of 14 points from their last six games has made the Loons strong contenders for a play-off spot, and Campbell feels that will put the fear factor into their opponents.
