A Dundee man who faces two trials on the same day has been remanded in custody.
Mark Smith, 21, of Deveron Terrace, denied assaulting a police officer, vandalism and possessing an offensive weapon during his apperance on Wednesday.
He also denies failing to provide details to police at Thurso Gardens, resisting six police officers, threatening them with extreme violence, threatening violence to their families, threatening to damage their property, biting through a spit hood and repeatedly attempting to spit at officers.
He also denies assaulting PC Gary Johnston and repeatedly attempting to bite him on the hand and leg. That case will go to trial in May.
In a separate case he denies that on January 12 at Dunmore Street he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, uttered threats of violence and challenged Paul Furey to fight.
He also denies striking Danielle Drumm on the arm with a piece of wood, striking two windows and having an offensive weapon. Trial was also set for May 1.
He also admitted failing to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court in February. He was joined in the dock by Terry Barr and Charles Barr.
Terry Barr, 24, of Thurso Gardens admitted on March 25 at Thurso Gardens failing to provide constable Emma Bullock with his name and address.
Sheriff Tom Hughes deferred sentence to April 23 and remanded Barr in custody.
Charles Barr, 20, of Balbeggie Street, admitted on March 25 at Thurso Gardens behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, shouting and swearing at police officers.
