Perth Volkswagen dealer the Cameron Group in £2m forecourt facelift

Perth Volkswagen dealer the Cameron Group is putting the finishing touches to a £2 million facelift of its Dunkeld Road forecourt.

The firm which also trades the region’s Audi franchise and has a Volvo, Skoda and Renault-approved bodyshop said the rebuild and redesign would give more showroom capacity and better servicing facilities.

The business, which has had a 60-year relationship with VW on the same site, commissioned Aberfeldy architects MacKenzie Strickland and Dundee building firm Muirfield Contracts for the work.

Chairman Douglas Cameron said the firm had invested “a great deal of money” to guarantee top customer service.

“Not only will we have the capacity to feature more vehicles in the showroom, more customer parking space and dedicated hand-over bays for customer collecting their cars, all departments within the business will be working in a combined open-plan space, with the customer areas at the heart,” he said.

“The level of investment shows our commitment to continue establishing Cameron Volkswagen as a key employer in Perth and to deliver the level of customer service expected from such a prestigious brand.”
